This is undoubtedly a technologically-empowered generation. What the telephone was to the late nineteenth century, the Internet has been to the 20th century. Huge advances in communication today mean that distance is no longer the determining factor of everything. Businesses, trade, political transactions and, on a more personal note, relationships today are all blessed with the advantage of a great communications network to support and facilitate them. And while on this subject, who can leave out the enormously important entertainment industry? Technology has, in this field, made it possible for us to bring to life entire worlds and peoples in ways that would have been unthinkable even ten years ago.

The YouTube success story has been talked about ever since the website was launched in 2005. The statistics are simply amazing – around ten hours of video content is being uploaded every minute! One thing is certain, and that is that information sharing is easier today than it has ever been before. Youtube has been used for everything from campaigning by the 2008 US Presidential candidates to sharing videos of amateur musicians and actors to educating people on various relevant social issues.

In an environment like this, YouTube has spawned a number of similarly-inspired websites. Hosting a website that allows users to upload videos is essentially encouraging the exchange of information, and building a global network of knowledge-sharing. While it comes with a hefty responsibility to ensure that it isn’t being misused, online video recording software that diminishes the amount of time taken to record and upload a video separately is definitely a boon to video-hosting websites. Quick cam ensures a perfect recording of internet based audios and videos.

Though most websites only permit users to upload video files, software does exist that will enable users to record videos while on the website itself. This significantly reduces the amount of time they’d have to spend on uploading the video.  In an age that demands instant gratification, this could only serve to enhance a video-hosting websites popularity!
